I too have added my name to the list of women who are "Breast Implant Survivors."

In 1984 I recieved silicone gel implants for cosmetic reasons and although I was very pleased with the cosmetic result, my health has never been the same since that time. By the time the late 80`s came, I began to experience changes in my health. Prior to implants I was always considerd healthy as a horse.

In 1993 I was diagnosed with a ruptured implant. Shortly after hearing this, I had the ruptured implants removed only to be replaced by saline implants.
I have developed numerous auto immune diseases, neuropathies, atypical connective tissue
disease,ms-like disease, asthma and more.. My last and final explantation was done in 2002 and since that time, some symtoms have lessoned, although others have worsened. Today I`am still 100% totally disabled.

Much recognition and research needs to be devoted to helping the many women and breastfed children who continue to become ill from these devices. Most doctors have very little or no understanding about our illnesses, so there is currently no known treatment for us.
